Burns & Bynum, CPA PA, one of the Triangle’s premier CPA firms, today announced a new marketing campaign built around its focus on helping clients grow their businesses. The campaign, called “Optimize,” captures the firm’s passion and track record for enabling clients to make the most of every opportunity.

“Every day, we help our clients understand both the big picture and the essential details, and we work to ensure that at every level, all the right pieces are in all the right places to grow their businesses. That’s what we mean by ‘optimize’,” said Lanny Bynum, a founding partner of Burns & Bynum. “Optimize is a long-term view. When done well, it allows a company to weather – and actually thrive in – the tough times and operate smartly in the good times. This is the kind of strategic thinking and business consulting we bring to our small- and medium-size business clients.”

The firm recently redesigned its website to reflect this new message and showcase its business consulting services.

CPA PA, one of the Triangle’s premier CPA firms, participated in the Smart Business Series sponsored by Wake Tech and the Cary Chamber of Commerce. Burns & Bynum’s two founding partners, Lanny Bynum and Kathy Burns, addressed a group of small business owners and Wake Tech students at the Wake Tech campus on the topic, “Working Smart for Profitability and Increase Your Bottom Line through Effective Tax Planning.” They discussed the following points, which are strategic considerations for optimizing a business:

What is profitability?

Working smarter – what does it mean?

Choose the most advantageous structure for your business.

Independent contractor vs. employee

Take advantage of net operating losses for tax purposes.

Retirement plan options for small businesses.

“The response from the group was phenomenal,” said Kathy Burns. “Making presentations such as these to small business owners is very gratifying and confirms the challenges facing most of them. The positive energy and passion they have for their businesses reinforces our firm’s commitment to serving them.”
