She has a wide range of individual and corporate clients, and plays a major role in tax research and tax planning for the firm. Her expertise also includes tax positioning related to business sales, acquisition and mergers, businesses with foreign tax issues, multi-state nexus and other local/municipal tax matters. In addition, Courtney supports selected international CPA firms in the preparation of tax provisions and related reporting for their national and international clients.

Courtney has 20 years of public accounting experience. She began her career at Ernst & Young working primarily with small- and medium-size businesses. She broadened her tax experience during an overseas tenure with KPMG, before returning to focus on small- and medium-size businesses at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has a Masters of Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
